2. What are the standard sizes of your cakes ?
Standard for a Hantaran Gift Cake is approx. 3kg & 10"- 12" diameter.
For a 2-Tier Cake, it is approx. 8kg, size 8" & 12" diameter. Serves approx. 50 people.
For a 3-Tier Cake, it is approx. 12kg, size 6", 10" & 14" diameter. Serves approx 100 people.
Please call us for higher tier estimates.
3. Is it much cheaper to mix dummy cakes with real ones ?
Our cakes are priced not according to the weightage, but on the
workmanship. Therefore cakes with more intricate designs will cost slightly more.
If you wish to have dummies instead, we will only deduct the cost of baking the real cakes
eg. 6" - less S$15
10" - less S$30
14" - less S$60
….. And so on
4. Are your prices inclusive of delivery ?
Yes, our prices are inclusive of delivery for all cakes & gifts, S$150 and above.
For Tiered Wedding Cakes, we will also assemble at no extra charge.
5. Do you customise cakes according to our preference ?
Absolutely, we would be pleased to do so as that remains a specialty of SugarlyNice. You can also show us a picture of your dream cake and we
will try to recreate 80%-90% of the original design.
6. Will your cakes melt easily ?
No. Our cakes are covered with soft fondant, which adhere very well with our climate in Singapore.
However, if get into contact with moisture or water, of course, sugar will melt.
7. Need refrigeration ?
No, NEVER refrigerate fondant. It will evaporate due to condensation once you take it out of the fridge.
As a result, the fondant will become very sticky. You can leave your cakes at room temperature for as long as
three (3) days.
8. How long in advance should I place my order ?
This totally depends on the popularity of the dates, eg. School holidays and special weekends.
Please check the availability of your preferred dates in our "Fully-booked Dates" link.
However, due to the handiwork involved in making our cakes, we would expect at least a one (1) month advance confirmation prior to delivery. We may be
able to accept late orders, but with the following additional charge :
- less than a month, additional 10%
- less than 2 weeks, additional 20%
9. How do I make payments ?
We require a confirmation deposit of 30%. The balance will be upon delivery. You can transfer the 30% deposit
into our bank account. We will then immediately mail the invoice receipt along with all your order details.
10. Do we need to pay for the display stands and cake accessories like knife and server ?
No, you don't have to pay for them. We only need a 'safe-keeping deposit' of S$100 for any accessories
that you use,, Upon return of these accessories, in good condition, the S$100 deposit will be fully
refunded.
In the event that any of the accessories get misplaced or damaged, we will need to deduct the cost of that
particular item from your 'safe-keeping deposit'.
